A MAN and a woman have been charged with the murder of a five-week-old baby.
Sean Jefferson, 34, of Walsall, and Amy Leigh Clark, 33, of Lichfield, have been charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
In a short statement issued on Tuesday, Staffordshire Police said the two have also been charged with three counts of causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.
Both defendants appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday.
They were remanded into custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on June 11.
