A MAN died after falling from the first-floor window of a building, an inquest has heard.

Lee Kevin Dunn, 40, died at Leeds General Infirmary just eight days after being found injured by a passerby on August 11.

An inquest into his death at Bradford Coroners’ Court heard yesterday that it was thought Lee had fallen from a first-floor window.

He had initially been taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary before he was later transferred to the hospital in Leeds, the court heard.

Tragically, Lee didn’t respond to treatment and died on August 19.

The inquest was also told that Lee was single and had been unemployed due to invalidity.

A post-mortem examination by Dr Richard Knights gave the 40-year-old’s cause of death as pulmonary thromboembolism – a blood clot in the lungs – and multiple traumatic injuries.

The inquest was adjourned by assistant coroner Peter Merchant yesterday to allow statements to be taken from Lee’s family, his GP, hospital medics, and Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

There also may be the necessity to take statements from West Yorkshire Police.

The inquest is expected to conclude in December.
