A MAN has died after plunging 30ft into an empty silo at a factory yesterday evening.
Emergency crews rushed to the site in Speke, Liverpool, at around 7.20pm on Monday, following reports a man had fallen into an empty silo.
Merseyside Police confirmed a 45-year-old man died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed, police said.
Cops added that an investigation into the circumstances of his death will be carried out by detectives and the Health and Safety Executive.
