A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering a mum-of-one who was pulled from a river.
Lisa Welford, 49, was rushed to hospital after being rescued from the River Derwent in Malton, North Yorkshire, but couldn’t be saved.

Vincent Joseph Morgan, who is known to the mum, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court today.
The 47-year-old is charged with murder and two counts of assault.
Morgan spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the brief hearing.
He was remanded into custody to next appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow.
The horror unfolded on Wednesday after members of the public noticed Lisa in the water near her home.
Emergency services attempted CPR at the scene but she died in hospital a short time later.
Tributes have flooded in for the mum, including floral tributes left at the scene.
One person wrote: “Rest in peace lovely. You will never be forgotten.”
Another said: “So sad. Deepest condolences to the family, Lisa was a lovely person.”
While one wrote: “Lovely lady very sad to hear, thoughts are with her family.”
