A MAN has been charged with murder after the body of a missing woman was found at a home 10 days after she vanished.
Mariann Borocz was last seen on Chorley Old Road in Bolton on December 14 at around 9.30am.
Cops tragically discovered her dead inside a home nearly 10 days later on December 23.
Greater Manchester Police said her body was discovered at a property in Bolton.
Officers arrested Christopher Barlow, 60, on suspicion of murder and he was remanded into custody.
He is now due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today charged with Mariann’s murder.
Det Ch Insp Tony Platten said: “Our condolences remain with Mariann’s family as they try to come to terms with her death.
“Our investigation is moving at pace, and we are continuing to work hard to build a full timeline of events leading up to Mariann’s death.
“As part of our investigation, we are once again appealing for additional information from the local community.

“I’d also like to thank those who have spoken to us already and helped initially in sharing our appeals around Bolton.”
A GMP spokesperson said: “Extensive searches alongside several appeals to the local community were conducted in efforts to find Mariann.
“Mariann’s family are continuing to be supported by family liaison officers at this incredibly distressing time.”
