A man has been charged after shocking footage emerged of a dog walker kicking an a cat off a pavement – before it died days later.
The 71-year-old has been charged with an animal cruelty offence following the incident in Leamington, Warwickshire, on September 16.

The footage shows a man calling his dog towards him before placing it on a lead.
He then grabs the dog’s face and shakes it multiple times, but then walks towards the cat and kicks it.
The 20-year-old moggie, named Lenny, died two days later.
The man, who has not been named but is from Leamington, was interviewed on Monday, police said.
He will face a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court in Leamington Spa on November 10.
Lenny’s owner previously revealed they got the cat when he was kitten and have lived in the same house his entire life.
They said his death has left the whole family and their neighbours heartbroken.
Speaking at the time, Warwickshire Police said: “We understand many have been left shocked and appalled by this incident and we would like you all to know that a criminal investigation is underway.
“A suspect was quickly identified and arrangements have been made to interview him.
“We will be keeping you updated on this case.”
