SCOTT CARSON has left Manchester City after six years of service for the club.

The veteran goalkeeper makes his exit with the bizarre record of more Premier League winners’ medals than appearances.

Manchester City confirmed Caron’s exit on social media.

A statement read: “After six seasons with the Club, Scott Carson will leave Manchester City when his contract expires this summer.

“We would like to thank Scott for his hard work and dedication and wish him the very best of luck for the future.”

Carson, 39, made the move to the Citizens in 2021 after a loan move from Derby County was made permanent.

He only made two appearances for the club, with one coming in the Champions League and the other in the Premier League.

Despite his lack of gametime, he has picked up an impressive trophy haul.

The club has won one Champions League, four Premier Leagues, two League Cups, a Uefa Super Cup and a Club World Cup during his spell.

This means he has beaten Cristiano Ronaldo’s record in England and Ronaldinho’s in the UCL.
