A MAN in his 60s was raped outside a church in the early hours of the morning, it is alleged – with a suspect arrested and charged.
Police were called to reports of a sexual assault in Station Road, in Harrow, north west London, at around 12.50am on Wednesday.
Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and rape.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said yesterday: “Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with rape on Wednesday, July 23.
“He was set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday, July 24).
“Officers were called at 00.49hrs on Wednesday, 23 July to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow.
“The victim, a man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers.
“Mr Desalagne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and charged as above.”
