A MAN has been stabbed inside an Asda in front of horrified shoppers, prompting paramedics to rush him to a major trauma centre as cops seal off the scene.

Police have cordoned off an Asda in Stepney Green following reports of a stabbing.

Ambulance workers rushed to the scene where a man was treated and taken to a major trauma centre.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.46am today (5 November) to reports of a stabbing at Anchor Rail Park, Mile End Road.

“We sent resources, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

“Our first paramedics arrived on the scene in three minutes.

“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”

Officers have remained stationed outside the shop, taping off the area as they begin investigating the attack.
