The British billionaire is set to secure a share in United after Sheikh Jassim withdrew his takeover bid.
However, fans will have to wait until at least next month to find out if Ratcliffe’s bid has been successful.
The Financial Times report that as part of Ratcliffe’s proposal, a new committee will be formed to oversee football matters at Old Trafford.
Current co-chairman Glazer and cycling coach Brailsford are set to be on the committee, the report adds.
Supporters are not convinced, though, with one commenting: “Manchester United is finished.”
Another added: “Like Joel Glazer knows anything about football matters.”
A third fan also wrote: “Can it get any worse?”
Meanwhile, one more fumed: “If the Glazers still have control what is the f***ing point man.”
