RUUD VAN NISTELROOY is close to making a swift Premier League return as the manager of Leicester City.

The Manchester United legend has been in talks with the Foxes since they sacked Steve Cooper after Sunday’s home defeat to Chelsea.

Ruud van Nistelrooy looks set to be named as Steve Cooper’s replacement at Leicester

During his interim spell at Man Utd, Ruud van Nistelrooy guided them to two victories over Leicester.

But now he set to be confirmed as the replacement for Cooper, who who won two of 12 games at the helm, according to The Telegraph.

Van Nistelrooy is available with no compensation after being dismissed from his post by incoming United boss Ruben Amorim.

He was unbeaten during his four interim matches in charge after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.
