MANCHESTER UNITED stars have arrived back for the start of pre-season training.

It’s a massive campaign for Ruben Amorim’s side after last season’s nightmare run.

And they got back to work on Monday morning at the club’s Carrington HQ.

Fans got their first glimpse of summer signing Matheus Cunha as the £62.5million attacker was driven in in a Mercedes van at 8am.

Former Wolves star Cunha has been handed Marcus Rashford’s No10 shirt for the new campaign after returning from holidaying in his native Brazil.

Shortly afterwards, youngster Harry Amass, 18, was spotted arriving in his silver Merc, while wearing a blue baseball cap.

Players will reportedly arrive on a staggered basis over a two-day period, with goalkeeper Andre Onana smiling for cameras an hour after Cunha arrived.

Onana has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after a dodgy season between the sticks last term.

But wants to fight for his place despite boss Amorim being keen on Emi Martinez from Aston Villa.

And Onana is not among five players who have been told to stay away from pre-season training to sort out their futures.

Those include Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, who all seem to have no future at the club.

If they do not seal moves away then they will be asked to return to Carrington at a later date.

Portugal stars Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have also been granted extended leave following the tragic death of their international team-mate Diogo Jota.

The Liverpool striker, 28, and his brother Andre, 25, died in a car crash in Spain on Thursday.

United skipper Fernandes and Dalot were at the funeral in Portugal on Saturday.

United announced 18-year-old left-back Diego Leon as their second summer signing over the weekend.

Amorim has a huge pre-season on his hands, with United suffering their worst-ever Premier League campaign after finishing 15th last season.
