MANCHESTER synagogue attacker Jihad Al-Shamie was accused of raping a second woman, it has emerged.

Today it has been revealed that the attacker was accused of rape by another woman just weeks before the deadly attack.

Father-of-three Al Shamie is thought to have been married to at least three women.

He was on bail for a rape reported in December 2024 and just a month before the attack was accused of a second sex attack.

The vile man’s criminal record has now been revealed – showing he had a conviction for possession of Class B drugs in 2012.

The 35-year-old also had a street warning for cannabis and received a penalty notice for shoplifting, cops said.

Despite his extensive record he was not known to counter-terror agencies.

Al-Shamie was shot dead by armed police as he tried to break into the Crumpsall synagogue armed with a knife on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.

Two worshippers – Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitzwas, 66, – were killed in the rampage.

Officers initially feared the terrorist was wearing a bomb – though his was later determined to be a fake.

Following the horrifying terror attack two men in their 30s and a woman in her 60s – were arrested, raids on nearby homes by counter-terror cops saw two men led away in handcuffs.

A probe into the attack, led by Counter Terror Policing North West, remains ongoing.

It comes after one of the men arrested in the wake of the horror was rearrested at Manchester Airport yesterday.

Cops said the 30-year-old man was initially taken into custody on October 2 on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

He has now been arrested again on suspicion of Failing to Disclose Information contrary to S38B of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He has now been released on bail with conditions.

An ongoing Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation into the shooting revealed on Wednesday that one of the Manchester synagogue victims suffered a “single but fatal gunshot” wound.

The watchdog confirmed that the wounds suffered by Adrian Daulby were caused by a police issued firearm.

Work is ongoing by a ballistics expert to understand how the victim of the Crumpsall synagogue attack received the injury.

The three armed coppers who responded to the horror attack are being treated as “witnesses” to the investigation.
