And if it finds a buyer ready to splash the whopping amount, it could become the most expensive piece of property on Earth.

Nestled in a peninsula in Naples’ wealthy Port Royal neighbourhood, the estate can be found in a gated compound facing the breezy sea.

Spread across 2,613,600 sq ft of luscious greenery, Gordon Pointe currently features three luxurious mansions – an 11,500 sq ft main house, a 5,500 sq ft home and a 5,800 sq ft residence.

The property has a beach frontage with water on three sides, three massive swimming pools – and a massive yacht basin.

And if you want to enjoy more outdoor fun, there’s a dock for approximately six boats measuring 111 ft.

The estate is a walkable distance from everything Naples has to offer, including shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment.

And whoever ends up buying the lavish estate will obtain “immediate membership to the Port Royal Club”, according to the listing website.

The current sellers of Gordon Pointe are family members of the late financier John Donahue and his wife, Rhodora, the Wall Street Journal reports.

According to family lore, Donahue was flying above Naples in the ’80s when he spotted the inhabitant island the mansion currently stands on – and decided to buy the land.

Interstingly, he paid just £800,000 in 1985 for the 4.3-acre area that sported nothing but a fishing cottage surrounded by mangroves.

Over the years, he kept buying up the surrounding land and ended up with close to 60 acres in Naples’s gated Port Royal community.

Now, the late couple’s 13 children and 84 grandchildren are parting ways with a portion of the family’s prized compound, which includes the three residences.

“We’ve all enjoyed it, but it’s more or less time to move on,” John and Rhodora’s son, Bill Donahue, told the media outlet.

A slew of notable guests have visited the Donahues at their coastal oasis, including former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.

“We nicknamed the room they stayed in the Presidential Suite,” Bill added.
