Former NBA legend and co-owner of Milwaukee Bucks Junior Bridgeman has tragically passed away at the age of 71.
Bridgeman reportedly fell ill during an appearance at the Galt House hotel in Louisville before dying later.

Paying tributes to the former player, Milwaukee Bucks said in a statement: “The Milwaukee Bucks are shocked and saddened by the tragic passing of Bucks legend and owner Junior Bridgeman.
“We are heartbroken by Junior’s passing and we send our deepest condolences to his wife, Doris, his children, Eden, Justin, and Ryan, his entire family and all those close to him.
“Junior’s retired No. 2 jersey hangs in Fiserv Forum, serving as a constant remembrance of his outstanding play on the court and his impact on the Bucks’ success.
“His hard work and perseverance led him to become one of the nation’s top business leaders and, last September, Junior’s professional life came full circle when he returned to the Bucks family as an owner.
“His memory will always be an inspiration to the Bucks organization.”
Bridgeman played with the Milwaukee Bucks for nine NBA seasons.
A representative for the Al J. Schneider Company, which owns the Galt House, confirmed Bridgeman’s tragic death, calling him “an integral part of our community”.
He said in a statement: “Junior Bridgeman was an integral part of our community. From his athletic impact to his philanthropic efforts, he will be deeply missed.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bridgeman family during this time.”
Apart from being a hero NBA player, Bridgemnt was also a uni legend, playing three seasons for Louisville from 1972-75.
Bridgeman led Louisville to the 1975 Final Four, but his team lost in overtime to UCLA, which went on to secure John Wooden’s 10th and Final NCAA title.
