Moment cop accidentally pepper sprays her partner before he falls to floor trying to arrest yob outside McDonald’s

THIS is the moment a cop accidentally pepper sprayed her partner as the pair tried to arrest a yob outside a fast food restaurant.

It is understood the footage was filmed in the summer at a McDonald’s branch in Nelson, Lancashire.

The officer can be seen pepper spraying her partner in the face

The policeman then gets back to his feet as they attempt to restrain the yob

However, he is thrown to the floor

The male officer can be seen clinging on to the suspect’s black t-shirt while on the floor.

A bumbling policewoman then arms herself with a canister of pepper spray but catches the back of her buddy cop’s head with the mist.

She does manage to cover the thug’s face before her partner attempts to trip him over.

The policeman ends up falling flat on his back and resorts to using a baton to apprehend the offender.

He hits the yob with the cylindrical club several times on the back of the leg.

The female cop finally manages to cuff the individual who is then escorted to the back of a police van.

The man screams “f***ing pig” as he is forced into the vehicle adding “my wife is pregnant”.

It is unclear what started the altercation or why the young lad was arrested.

The 40 second clip was shared on Facebook and has amassed more than 70,000 views.

One person said: “Wow she didn’t even aim. She just randomly sprayed it.”

Another commented: “That Maccies has caused more trouble than I ever thought.

“What happened to going and just having a burger?”

The Sun has contacted Lancashire Police for comment.

The officer then uses his baton to seemingly strike the man

The two cops then escort the man away
