The 23-year-old killer managed to corner the victim before using two knives to stab him to death.
He chillingly yelled out “die, die, die” as he inflicted multiple blows on Sean, 30, during the horror in Hayes, West London.
Footage then showed Charles trespassing through gardens as he attempted to make his escape.
He managed to evade police for just under a year after disposing of the knife at a nearby address.
But Charles was caught after a lengthy manhunt that saw the killer hide out almost 100 miles away in Coventry.
He was today jailed for life with a minimum of 23 years after being convicted of murder.
Kingston Crown Court was told the horror unfolded on May 18, 2023, following an “altercation” between two rival groups.
Sean collapsed with injuries to his chest and abdomen and died in the street.
Police this year offered £10,000 for information and released a picture of prime suspect Charles.
Within 24 hours, a tipster called officers and led them to the killer, who had been hiding out for almost a year.
Detective Inspector Kevin Martin, who led the investigation for Specialist Crime South, said: “Myself and the team once again pay tribute to Sean’s family who, throughout this distressing time, have shown real strength and togetherness.
“Heartbreakingly, nothing will ever bring Sean back, but today, the man responsible for taking him away from his much-loved family has been forced to face the reality of his malicious actions.”
Sean’s family previously thanked the police and prosecutors for securing justice.
They added: “Sean will be remembered for his big heart, charming smile and fun-loving personality.
“He is incredibly loved by us all and we miss him every day.”
