Cops told The Sun a 24-year-old man was arrested and later charged, after the victim suffered injuries to his head and finger.

Footage shows the attacker lunging with scissors in his hand and striking his target – who is wearing a backpack.

He holds his top and seemingly continues to thrust his weapon at the other man as they grapple in the mall’s concourse between shops.

The victim pushes his aggressor back as they continue to square up to each other and pass a Poundland store while onlookers watch on.

The bearded attacker, who appears to be wearing wireless headphones, rotates his wrist as he moves forward in a fighting stance.

The other man drops his shoulders into a boxing pose and shadow punches while retreating.

He then points to something behind the other man, who stops and looks back.

A shopping centre security guard arrives on the scene and speaks to him.

He holds both his arms as he blocks off his route to the other man who slowly follows.

Kent Police told The Sun: “Kent Police is investigating allegations of an assault at the Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford, on Thursday 27 March 2025.

“It is reported that at around 12.40pm a suspect armed with scissors injured another man.

The suspect was restrained by security staff and was arrested by attending police officers shortly after.

“The victim was taken to hospital for wounds to his head and finger.

“Bassan Biro, 24, of Gillingham High Street, was later charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, and affray.

“He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 March.”
