THIS is the moment a woman mowed down her lover’s ex-wife in a love triangle murder plot, a court heard.
Lucy Povey is accused of deliberately driving her car into Sharon Dorkin, 41, and two others in a “shocking act of violence”.

Sharon had recently split with her husband Lee Dorkin after she “heard rumours that he was messing about with Lucy Povey”, jurors heard.
She had allegedly referred to Povey, 35, as her ex’s “new tart” and called her a “homewrecker”.
Footage played to jurors showed the defendant driving straight into Sharon, her neighbour Tanya Johnston and sister Kayleigh.
After she “slammed” into the three women, Povey again drove at Sharon as she lay on the ground, Winchester Crown Court heard.
Jurors heard the incident took place on November 11 last year in Basingstoke, Hampshire, around a month after the Dorkins split.
Sharon suffered a fractured right knee and grazes, while her sister was left with cuts to her face.
Neighbour Tanya broke her ankle in two places following the “moment of madness” from Povey, jurors were told.
In her police interview, Povey claimed she panicked and put the car in first gear – rather than in reverse – causing her to lurch forward.
Sharon told the court she and Lee married in April 2022 but split two years later.
She added: “He moved out and I had no idea where he went. I heard rumours that he was messing about with Lucy Povey.
“I was reclusive at the time and only went out if I needed to.”
Sharon said on the day of the horror, she was walking past a chip shop with her sister after they visited their mum when they heard Povey yell: “I’m coming for you”.
She added: “She was outside our front door by the wall on her own when we got home. Kayleigh and her started fighting with each other – pulling each other’s hair and grabbing each other.
“[Mr Dorkin’s brother] came out past the neighbour’s house and said I said I thought we were not getting involved in the separation. We unsuccessfully tried to separate them.
“Tanya came out because she thought I was in a fight and I said that it’s Lee’s new tart.
“They stopped fighting and I ended up next to Lucy’s car but my memory at this point is not great. I think I called her a homewrecker.”
Sharon recalled how she was hit in the right hip after Povey allegedly drove the car into her.
She continued: “My next memory is being on the floor and my sister screaming and yelling because she thought I was dead.
“I was in pain and I was taken to hospital where I stayed overnight.”
The court heard there was a “growing animosity” between the women that motivated Povey.
But prosecutor Simon Jones said “there can be no lawful excuse for the actions she took”.
Povey denies attempted murder and two counts of grievous bodily harm.
The trial continues.
