Tragically, the youngster was declared dead shortly after the horror on December 15.
Claire Button appeared at Basildon Crown Court today charged with murder.
The 35-year-old spoke only to confirm her name and thank Judge Samantha Leigh during the brief hearing.
She denied murdering Lincoln but admitted unlawfully killing him by manslaughter.
A trial date has been scheduled for September 29.
Police previously confirmed she was taken to hospital for treatment and arrested once her condition improved.
Tributes flooded in for Lincoln – known as “Link” – following the tragedy.
His devastated family said: “Link was a cherished, loved, sweet, beautiful young soul who was adored by all and will be sorely missed every day.”
Bonnygate Primary School, where Lincoln was a Year 1 student, also paid tribute to the “cheeky, smiley, happy boy”.
It added: “His love for school, laughter and cuddles will be remembered and missed dearly.
“The school is working closely with the authorities and is being supported by Thurrock Council’s education team, who offer support and advice to schools over sensitive issues.
“The school’s priority is to support those within the community who need help to come to terms with this tragic loss.”
