Parents Louise and Gareth Davies decided to carry out the genetic testing on the nine-week-old girls as they were so intrigued by how alike they looked.
The DNA results confirmed they were super-rare naturally conceived identical sisters.
Hairdresser Louise said: “We are over the moon with the results.
“We couldn’t be happier to know that the girls are all identical.”
The parents, from Huddersfield, West Yorks, welcomed their girls at 34 weeks in November.
They weighed between 4lb 8oz and 5lb and spent 18 days in special care in hospital before being allowed home.
Team leader Charlotte Haskayne said: “We carry out hundreds of DNA relationship tests daily and sometimes it can be difficult to deliver the news if it’s not what the family are expecting.
“Some cases can be really heart-warming, knowing we have made a difference in people’s lives is the reason why we do what we do.”
