Murder probe after newborn baby found dead outside a house as police arrest two men and a woman

A MURDER probe has been launched after a newborn baby was found dead outside a house – with cops arresting two men and a woman.

Police were called at 12.35pm today to reports that a newborn baby had been found outside Wilbury House in Ipswich.

Paramedics also scrambled to the scene, but the baby was sadly declared deceased.

The baby’s death is being treated as unexplained and is now under investigation.

Two men and a women and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The trio remain in police custody for questioning, with a cordon still in place at the scene.

Earlier today Wilbury House was surrounded by several police cars and vans, with police dogs reportedly brought in.

The house has previously been used a hotel and “house of multiple occupancy”.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jane Topping said: “This is a very sad and distressing incident.

“At this time, our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death is in its early stages.

“I would urge people not to speculate on social media as to the circumstances of this tragic event.”
