Firefighters recovered her body from the Igaratá dam near São Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday.
Her body was sadly identified at the scene by her mother.
Cops are investigating her death as “suspicious”, despite initially saying it was an accident.
Nascimento had been with two other friends on the jet ski trip.
While the both gave statements to police, their accounts contradicted each other, according to reports.
Security footage from a nearby property is currently being reviewed amid the probe.
According to G1 Globo, a witness report says a fourth person offered the three friends a life jacket, which they refused.
Everyone had fallen into the water when they lost control of the jet ski, the document states.
A friend told cops he had tried to push Nascimento to the surface as she couldn’t swim.
They returned to the shore to seek help when they were unable to save her, the report adds.
Best friend Gabrielle Reis told local media that Nascimento had been trying to convince her to join them.
She said: “All our close friends pleaded with her not to go, since none of us could go along.
“But she spent the whole week nagging us, saying, ‘come on, come on.’ In the end, she went anyway.”
Nascimento’s friend further told reporters that the influencer was a “naive” person.
“We fought because of the way she was living her life, living it so intensely,” she said.
“I didn’t want to go because I have other goals with God.”
But despite her friend’s protests, Nascimento went for the trip with new friends she met for the outing.
Her official cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Nascimento was from São Paulo and had worked in a jewelry and perfume shop.
Over her time as an influencer, she had gained more than 12,000 followers on social media.
Reis added: “She was always such a gentle, loving girl, always thinking of others.
“She was a good person and a true friend.”
Nascimento is survived by her parents and younger sister.
