THE final footsteps of a 21-year-old uni student who vanished from a pub have been revealed as the mystery continues.

A desperate hunt is still ongoing for missing blond-haired Sebastian Sailes, who disappeared from a boozer one week ago on Thursday.

Sebastian was last seen leaving the Black Horse Pub in Chippenham, Wiltshire, at about 11.30pm on February 27.

CCTV footage then captured the young man heading towards Lovers Walk.

Cops now believe Sebastian went south along Avon Valley Walk towards his home address in Notton.

It is then believed he may have walked towards Rowden Hill, said the force.

But despite extensive searches, Sebastian is yet to be found after a week.

Police have also been scouring a river close to the pub in a desperate bid to find the uni student.

Sebastian is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, with blonde/brown hair with a long fringe.

He was last seen wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans, a beige fur lined jacket and white Adidas trainers.

Officers urged anyone who may have CCTV or Ring doorbells between Notton and Chippenham to check their footage from that night.

Chippenham Police also asked any drivers who could have been in the south Chippenham and Rowden Hill area at the time to review their dashcam recordings.

A large operation has been launched, with scores of volunteers joining police in the search.

Sebastian’s family said in a heartfelt plea: “We are a very close family and are all extremely anxious and praying for the safe return of our much-loved son Sebastian.

“We are unbelievably grateful for the efforts of the police and all the amazing volunteers.

“The public support has been heart-warming, and we appeal to anyone who may have information to contact Wiltshire Police immediately, in the hope that our beautiful boy is returned to us safe and sound.”

County Chief Inspector Ben Huggins said in the latest statement: “We continue to appeal for anyone who may have seen Sebastian or have knowledge of his whereabouts to get in touch.

“Many of our enquiries have taken place around the river but we are also investigating the possibility that he has made his way towards Rowden Hill and through the new estates.”

Ch Insp Huggins continued: “If you live in that area and you have any Ring Doorbell footage from around the time he disappeared to check it for any sign of him.

“Delivery drivers or taxi drivers would also have been out in Chippenham at around that time and we would please ask that you check your Dash Cams for any sign of him.

“I would also like to thank the volunteers from Wiltshire Search and Rescue and other search agencies from the southwest who have come to the area for the time and energy they have put into the search for missing Seb.”

In an update on Monday, Avon and Somerset Police revealed officers had found the body of a man aged in his 70s during the searches.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said at the time: “The body of a man aged in his 70s has been found in the River Avon near Westmead Open Space today/this morning (Mon).

“We can confirm that this is not missing man Sebastian Sailes, aged 21 years, for whom an extensive search operation is continuing.

“The body has been identified and his next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

“There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances around the OAP’s death.”

The statement continued: “We understand that this development will be concerning for the public.

“I would like to reassure them that Sebastian’s disappearance and the discovery of this man’s body are not linked and the search for Sebastian will continue today.

“Sebastian’s family have been informed of this development and we are continuing to support them.”
