New CCTV released in hunt for arrested man, 24, who escaped from cops at hospital as he’s spotted in nearby pub

POLICE have released fresh CCTV images of a man they are hunting who escaped from custody while at hospital.

Jon Michael Lee, 24, was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after being arrested on suspicion of driving offences and burglary, Thames Valley Police said.

However, he managed to slip away from officers on Friday afternoon and has been on the run since.

Now, detectives have released a fresh CCTV image of Lee, captured inside the Up in Arms Pub in Oxford at around 4.30pm on Friday.

The escapee is described as a white male, around 5ft 11ins tall, with short brown hair, brown eyes, a short moustache and a small beard.

He has a tattoo of two cherries on his left cheekbone.

Detective Inspector Marcia Hardy, said: “We are continuing our investigation to trace this individual and following a number of lines of enquiry and we are releasing new CCTV images of him. 

“If you see him, please call 999 immediately. We would advise members of the public not to approach.

“We would ask anyone who has previously seen him to get in touch through 101, quoting reference 43250430592.”
