ANGE POSTECOGLOU admitted nothing in football surprises him anymore after some Nottingham Forest fans called for him to be sacked after just six matches.

Defeat at home to Midtylland saw Postecoglou become the first Forest manager in 100 years to fail to win in his opening six games.

A 3-2 home defeat sparked fury from some sections of the crowd.

Chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” rang out.

Postecoglou said of the song: “The fans are disappointed and they are entitled to have an opinion on it. I heard their opinion.

“Nothing surprises me in football anymore. I guess it’s just the climate we are in and it seems that this is the way things are going.

“It’s nothing I can control. I have just got to make sure we get some wins for this football club.”

Forest drew their Europa League opener away at Real Betis and have suffered defeat against Arsenal, Swansea and Sunderland since Postecoglou took charge.

A 1-1 draw at Burnley is the only Premier League point he has picked up so far.

But the former Tottenham boss is confident results will improve soon.

Asked if he believes he can turn things around, he added: “Yes I do. Nothing I saw tonight changes any part of that.

“I get the mood around the place isn’t going to be great and I understand people’s attitude at the moment particularly towards me but I’ve never been worried about that, it’s familiar territory for me.

“I believe we are on the right track and when we get through this period we will be on a good path.”
