NOTTINGHAM FOREST’S Premier League clash with West Ham was momentarily delayed due to a medical emergency in the stands.

The incident occurred in the 49th minute of the contest at the City Ground.

A Forest paramedic rushed across the pitch to assist the male supporter.

The match was able to get back underway following a two-minute delay.

Officials later revealed the fan was stable when he left the stadium and was taken to hospital for further checks.

Forest and West Ham were locked at 0-0 when the brief delay occurred.

Fans on X expressed their concern and wished the supporter well, who was thought to be in the Clough Stand.

Plenty of speculation surrounded the future of home boss Nuno Espirito Santo going into the match – and there could be much more after as Forest ended up getting thumped 3-0.

The former Tottenham boss recently claimed that his relationship with club supremo Evangelos Marinakis had “changed” and that they were not “so close” as previously.

It later emerged that Espirito Santo had fallen out with Forest’s former Arsenal head of football Edu.

Asked whether he believes that he’ll still be in charge at Forest after the international break, Nuno, 51, said: “Yes, I think so.

“I don’t know how to answer that but I think so.

“I’m totally relaxed in that sense. We need to have a talk about the future of the club and what is the commitment to the club.

“We want the same thing, we want the best for Forest, that’s for sure.

“We have to talk. These kinds of things should be done in the right moment, and the right moment is after the game.

“Now we are focused on West Ham, then we have the international break and I think that is the right moment.”
