ONE of the FBI’s most wanted “terrorists” has been arrested in Wales after a manhunt lasting more than 20 years.
Daniel Andreas San Diego, 46, was put on the list after two bombings in San Francisco in 2003.
Two bombs ripped through a biotech firm in August that year – before a nail bomb gutted a nutrition business a month later.
FBI director Christopher Wray said: “There’s a right way and a wrong way to express your views in our country.”
He added: “Turning to violence and destruction of property is not the right way.
“Daniel San Diego’s arrest after more than 20 years shows that no matter how long it takes, the FBI will find you and hold you accountable.”
San Diego was arrested by National Crime Agency cops at in Conwy yesterday.
He was reportedly snared at a rural home bordering on a patch of woodland.
San Diego appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, kicking off the extradition process.
Former IT worker San Diego has ties to “animal rights extremist groups”, the FBI said.
The agency had offered a $250,000 (£190,000) reward for information leading to his arrest.
On its website, the FBI said San Diego owns a handgun and has a chest tattoo reading: “It only takes a spark”.
