A PARAGLIDER has been rushed to hospital after her “parachute collapsed” while landing.
The female paraglider crash landed on the Beer Head Coast Path in Devon and fell 10 feet onto the ground during the horrific scenes on Friday afternoon, a coastguard spokesperson said.

They added that she landed on her back and was “in a lot of pain”.
She was then quickly taken to hospital by ambulance services.
Beer Coastguard Rescue Team said: “Tasked to a female paragliding who had crashed landed falling the last 10 feet after her chute collapsed.
“She had landed on her back and was in a lot of pain.
“Initial casualty care provided by us until the paramedics arrived on scene.
“Lyme Regis Coastguard also tasked along with HART [Hazardous Area Response Team].
“Different extraction methods to get the casualty back to the ambulance were considered, it was decided to use the HART 6 wheeled polaris vehicle, this being the smoothest option.
“The casualty was transferred to ambulance for onward journey to hospital.
“We wish her a speedy recovery.”
