PARENTS have been told to “do more” to get their kids to behave at school — and stop letting them bunk off.
Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson issued the warning as part of a Labour crackdown on bad behaviour.

Ahead of this autumn’s schools white paper, she said: “We all need to do more when it comes to getting kids in and behaving.
“And this includes mums, dads and carers too.
“I am calling on parents, schools and families to join us in playing their part to get children in class and ready to learn for the start of the new school term.”
She will today unveil 21 schools that will be made “attendance and behaviour hubs”.
Their leaders will advise others on how to nip bad behaviour in the bud.
Eventually the scheme will support 5,000 schools — including intense support for 500.
Shock new Department for Education data found seven of every 30 classroom minutes are lost to kids misbehaving.
Ms Phillipson added: “We know what works.
“Strong leadership, consistent attendance and schools standing shoulder to shoulder with families.”
