A BABY was hit by severe vomiting after her parents unwittingly gave her out-of-date Vitamin D drops sold by Holland and Barrett.
Little Masooma Ali was rushed to A&E after ingesting the kids’ supplement bought days earlier from the health food giant.

Dad Haider, of Pollokshields, Glasgow, told how he and mum Emanuiaser, 29, were appalled to find the product was months past its use-by date after checking the bottle when their daughter’s sickness persisted.
He said: “Masooma started vomiting and we put it down to a bug. But when it wasn’t shifting, we checked the vitamin bottle.
“To our horror the product was nearly three months out of date with a use-by of July 2023.
“It’s an absolute disgrace that a trusted brand is selling expired stock. The duty of care lies with them. I’m furious.”
Emanuiaser bought the Baby Vitamin D3 Liquid — claimed to boost bones and teeth — from the chain’s shop in nearby Shawlands last month.
But five-month-old Masooma fell sick after she was given the drops for the first time last week.
After discovering they had expired, the worried couple rushed her by taxi to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Doctors there checked Masooma and then sent the family home. But Haider said: “We’ve had sleepless nights because she’s still vomiting. It’s been so distressing.”
Holland and Barrett has apologised and launched a probe.
A spokesman said: “We take product safety very seriously. We are investigating how this was able to be sold as we have strict protocols on date checking in stores.”
