Two thirds of us favour a picturesque UK bolthole to luxury beach villas in the Caribbean, Maldives, or Thailand.

A poll has revealed how Brits would spend their perfect Christmas

More than a quarter fancied a stay in a country manor and a similar proportion wanted a private chef to rustle up Christmas lunch.

A third would love to wake up to a thick blanket of snow.

To mark Saturday’s £15million must be won Lotto jackpot, 2,000 people were asked their Christmas preferences if money was no object.

Traditional turkey with all the trimmings topped the list.

A quarter fancied watching a festive film on a private cinema screen.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said: “I have met lots of winners over the years and whilst everyone’s Christmas traditions are different, spending it with family and friends is always the most important.

“One of the first things our winners do is buy a new home with more space for the family, so it’s no surprise that a bigger table to fit everyone round is on our wish list.

“And just imagine what your Christmas could look like if you were to win a £15M Lotto jackpot this Saturday?!”
