A TENNIS star repeatedly smashed his racket and launched an astonishing X-rated rant after suffering tie-break torment.

Tristan Boyer exploded over umpiring decisions in a tense defeat against Alex Bolt – the boyfriend of British ace Katie Swan.

The Californian kept bashing his racket down

American Boyer, 23, lost 3-6 6-7 to the Aussie in the San Diego Open first round.

Bolt’s partner, 25-year-old Swan, joked last summer “Wag life is stressful” after seeing him come from match-point down to qualify for Wimbledon.

And the Bristolian might have gone through another range of anxious emotions if she saw the heated finale to his clash with Boyer.

The first flashpoint emerged when the Californian was a set down and locked at 4-4 in the decisive tie-break.

As Boyer bounced the ball preparing to serve, chair umpire Nick Flentie called him up for a time violation.

After the World No. 113 served, he saw Flentie controverisally rule his follow-up groundshot long.

Boyer appeared upset with both verdicts but contained himself – albeit only briefly.

And when he sent the ball into the net on match point moments later, he let out his true feelings.

He yelled loudly and banged his racket into the ground several times.

Boyer left it crumpled near the baseline before jogging in to shake Bolt’s hand and unleash his views to Flentie.

He screamed: “Unbelievable. It’s ridiculous. You guys can’t do one thing right!

“God, it p***es me off. God, it’s frustrating.

“All over the place, horrendous calls. Horrendous calls!”

Boyer then complained about the punishment he picked up for taking too much time.

Waving his arms frantically, he said: “What are you doing giving me a time violation?!

“There are three people here. There are three people here watching me! Three people!

“It’s the first round, it’s ridiculous. We are not on TV, there is nobody watching, nobody is watching the stream. You’re ridiculous!”

Flentie responded calmly, saying: “We are seeing it differently.

“We are not going to just bend the rules’.”

That approach didn’t work with Boyer, though.

The player kept up his verbal volley as he left the court.

And as a final touch, he retrieved his racket and gave it one more bashing on the ground.

Meanwhile, Bolt stayed well out of it.

Tennis fans had been entranced last year when the two-time Australian Open men’s doubles quarter-finalist swapped affectionate messages on Instagram with Swan.

The couple also shared touching pictures together, including an embrace after tearful Bolt got through the Wimbledon qualifiers.
