A HUGE 7.2 magnitude earthquake teared through Philippines with residents told to be alert for aftershocks and damage.
The earthquake struck off the shore of the Mindano region of the Philippines today, sparking fears of destruction in the area.

The earth tremor started at a depth of 6.2 miles, German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The shallow earthquakes are more likely to cause damages on the surface.
But there won’t be a risk of tsunami, reported the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.
