PORTSMOUTH’S clash with Millwall has been delayed due to a power cut at Fratton Park.

The Championship game was due to kick-off at 7.45pm on Wednesday evening.

But the lights went out as play was due to get underway which forced the match to be pushed back.

A statement on X read: “There is currently an issue with the power at Fratton Park and it is being looked into.

“We will update supporters in due course.”

The mishap comes after Portsmouth’s clash with Blackburn on Saturday was postponed.

Rovers called the game off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Non-league side Gosport Borough, who are local to Portsmouth, saw their game postponed due to a problem with their floodlights.

Pompey, who were promoted last season, are languishing in 23rd in the Championship.

They have won just two of their 15 league matches, but do have two games in hand on the teams around them.

Neil Harris’ men are on an eight-game unbeaten run which has included wins over Burnley and Leeds.
