PREM bosses have defended the decision not to send off Tyler Adams in Bournemouth’s game with Manchester United.
The Cherries midfielder was only given a yellow card for a vicious lunge on Alejandro Garnacho.

Both of Adams’ feet appeared to be off the floor as he flew in on the Argentine during the first half.
Referee Peter Bankes gave the American a yellow card.
And the decision was backed up by VAR despite a review from the video assistant.
The Premier League later released a statement through it’s official Match Centre X account.
It read: “The referee’s call of yellow card for the challenge by Adams on Garnacho was checked and confirmed by VAR.
“The challenge [was] deemed reckless and not serious foul play.”
One fan raged in response on X: “NO RED CARD GIVEN FOR ADAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE F*** THAT’S A CLEAR RED!!!!!!!!!!! ALMOST KILLED GARNACHO!!!!!”
Another said: “Rashford was sent off for similar last season. Joke decision.”

While a third added: “If that’s Casemiro making the tackle it’s a red. Terrible decision.”
Just two minutes after the incident, Bournemouth went in front through red-hot forward Antoine Semenyo.
United fans fumed at the officials following two penalty claims late in the half.
Harry Maguire appeared to be twice dragged down in the box.
But the on-field decision of no penalty was upheld by VAR, who didn’t recommend Bankes review either incident on the pitchside monitor.
