BURNLEY star Charlie Taylor has been declared bankrupt following an administrative error, according to reports.

The footballer, 30, is thought to be paid in the region of £30,000 a week by the Premier League club.

Charlie Taylor has been a regular for Burnley this seasonRex

Taylor was allegedly declared bankrupt due to unpaid bills.

According to the Mail, his missed payments were due to an “administrative error” and not deliberate attempts to shirk paying up.

The former Leeds ace, who declined to comment on the matter, is not thought to be suffering from serious financial issues.

And he has since settled his debts.

The High Court are claimed to be close to granting an annulment on his bankruptcy.

Taylor has been a regular for Burnley this season.

He has started 16 of Vincent Kompany‘s side’s 20 Premier League matches.

While he was also in action as the Clarets crashed out of the FA Cup by losing 1-0 to Tottenham last night.

Taylor helped Burnley to promotion back to the Prem last season.

At the end of the title-winning campaign, Leeds attempted to re-sign their homegrown ace.

The full-back opted to stay at Turf Moor, however, and has reaped the benefits by playing regularly in the top flight.
