That game at Anfield will be the first match of a record number of at least 267 games due to be televised this season.

The 8pm kick-off on Friday, August 15, is among 215 matches being shown on Sky Sport.

The early kick-off on Saturday has a tasty offering of Aston Villa against Newcastle.

That will be broadcast live on TNT Sports, in what could be an early six-pointer in the race for the Champions League places.

There are four games under the 3pm blackout: Brighton v Fulham, Nottingham Forest v Brentford, Sunderland v West Ham and Tottenham v Burnley.

Sky Sports then pick up broadcasting duties again as Wolves host Manchester City at 5:30pm.

Pep Guardiola‘s side could be playing that game just over a month after their involvement in the Club World Cup if they reach the July 15 final.

As Sunday rolls around, fans are in for a real Super Sunday treat with two potential clashes.

The 2pm showing will see Chelsea host FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, starting a run of FOUR London derbies for Enzo Maresca’s Blues.

But the real headline act of the weekend comes in the 4:30pm kick-off, with a heavyweight bout at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Arsenal.

According to Opta Analyst, the Red Devils and Gunners have the toughest set of opening fixtures out of any teams.

Man Utd’s opening five sees them take on Fulham and Burnley before a Manchester derby at the Etihad and hosting Chelsea, which gives them a rating of 94.6 in Opta’s Team Rating equation.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s run of Leeds at home, Liverpool away and Nottingham Forest and Man City at home, gives them a ranking of 94.

The first weekend of the season rounds out with an 8pm Monday match up between newly-promoted Leeds and Everton on Sky Sports.
