FIVE people are in hospital after a private plane skidded off a runway and crashed into a river – ending up 100ft away.
The small aircraft veered off the tarmac at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, Oregon, on Monday morning.

According to the airport, the plane with five on board came off Runway 23 and into Coos Bay just after 6am.
The four passengers and one crew member were all rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Officials say their conditions are unknown.
All commercial air traffic on the airport’s main runway has been suspended whilst the investigation into the crash continues.
The National Transportation Safety Board has asked for the plane to be removed from the water, according to officials.
