He blasted manager Luis Enrique in an open letter on Wednesday.
And earlier today, Donnarumma’s agent Enzo Raiola threatened legal action against PSG for their treatment of the stopper.
But both men are sure to have smiled after seeing replacement Chevalier ship two goals in the Super Cup final against Spurs.
The first came after PSG’s new goalie produced a fine save, only for Micky van de Ven to pounce on the rebound.
However, the second goal occurred after Chevalier suffered a severe case of sausage fingers, allowing Cristian Romero’s effort to slip through his hands while simultaneously pushing it into his own net.
Fans were quick to comment online that Donnarumma, widely regarded as one of the world’s best goalies, wouldn’t have made the error in Chevalier’s place.
One said: “Dropping Donnarumma for Chevalier is criminal!”
Another declared: “Awful decision to downgrade from Donnarumma.”

Fortunately for Chevalier, he ended up having the last laugh on Wednesday night.
Despite PSG being 2-0 down with five minutes remaining, they ended up taking the game to penalties thanks to last-gasp strikes from Kang-In Lee and Goncalo Ramos.
Spurs then missed two of their spot-kicks, with Van de Ven’s effort saved by Chevalier, as PSG lifted the Super Cup in dramatic style.
