THE RACE is on to become the next Rangers manager following the sacking of Micheal Beale.

Beale had been under pressure since losing the Old Firm derby before the international break, and things came to a head this weekend after a crushing 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen.

A statement from the team’s official account was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Rangers Football Club can confirm it has parted company with men’s first-team manager, Michael Beale.”

Now, Aussie coach and manager of Yokohama F. Marinos Kevin Muscat has emerged as an early favourite to take over the job since Beale’s sacking.

Rangers have also been linked with Birmingham boss John Eustace in recent days.
