RISHI Sunak has narrowed the gap between the Tories and Labour.
It is the closest it has been since Mr Sunak came to power, a poll of 3,000 adults by Opinium Research has found.

Labour’s lead has dropped two points to 39 per cent while the Tories have gone up three points to 29 per cent.
Sunak’s net approval rating has gone up two points to -28 — while Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer’s rating sits on -10, down one point.
It comes after the PM unveiled his Plan for Drivers, which will limit the rollout of Low-Traffic Neighbourhoods and blanket 20mph zones.
Ahead of his speech in Downing Street earlier this month, Tory MPs rowed in behind Mr Sunak’s change of tack.
Co-chairs of the New Conservatives group, Miriam Cates and Danny Kruger, said: “We know that new Conservative voters will welcome this announcement as a common-sense approach to the environmental challenges that we face.
“They will know that our party is on the side of working people who are trying to get on, make a living, and provide for their families.
“Our message to colleagues is to recognise the impact of this policy on those voters.”
Opinium’s Adam Drummond said: “This is the biggest change we’ve seen to Labour’s lead in a little while.”
