A ROMANIAN toyboy who inherited £250,000 at the death of his vicar ex-lover is now engaged to a new beau, it has been revealed.

Male model Florin Marin, 31, was left the fortune by 81-year-old Philip Clements and is now set to start anew with wealthy German-Italian hotel boss Giovanni Messina, despite his promises to his late husband.

Mr Clements died just three years after his marriage to Mr Marin, leaving his hubby the beneficiary of his £2,000 a month pension, £150,000 life insurance policy and £100,000 worth or property.

The Sun revealed in 2021 that Marin had shacked up with Spanish businessman Jeronimo Jesus de Vega, 51.

The pair had previously got together after Marin split from parish priest Mr Clements in 2017, before they reconciled and married.

The retired vicar, who served in the Anglican Church for 50 years, even sold his £250,000 home and moved to Romania that year to be with his beloved, before passing way in hospital in 2020.

Now, though, Marin has confirmed his new engagement, this time to Mr Messina, in an interview with MailOnline after they met 18 months ago on gay dating app Planet Romeo.

Speaking from the couple’s home in Baden, Germany, he said: “Yes, I am engaged, but I’m not sure I will get married – I promised Philip I wouldn’t marry again.

“I got engaged because I like to have a ring on my finger and I like presents but Philip was such a lovely man, I think about him all the time and he’s never far from my thoughts.

“I don’t have a picture of Philip here in the new house but in Romania I have lots of pictures of him.

“I told Giovanni all about him and Jeronimo when we met and he said he didn’t care, he said the past is the past and the future is ours

“I opened the computer and showed him all about the past and he said he didn’t care, what mattered now was us and our new life together.”

He added that, at the age of 31, he has levelled-up to being a “junior sugar daddy” as he is “starting to get grey hair” and is “getting old”.

“I am very much in love”

Mr Marin also recalled the pain of losing his first husband, who he was not able to visit in hospital due to pandemic restrictions.

He had insisted on Mr Clements being admitted after he ran out of medication for a pre-existing health condition and became disorientated.

The model mourned his love for two days after his passing, which he considered “enough”, saying that Mr Clements would not have wanted him to be sad.

Now, he is looking forward to his new life with his new partner, with the pair recently returning from a festive break in the luxurious skiing resort of Gstaad, Switzerland.

He went on: “The last few months I’ve been so busy we had Christmas in Switzerland and then last summer we went to Lake Como and Venice, and we were in Majorca twice.

“I met my new partner on the Planet Romeo…he looks a bit like Jeronimo [de Vega], and we have been together for 18 months.

“Giovanni is a lovely man and I am very much in love.”

And he also revealed that he now works at the hotel his fiance runs in Baden to help finance his life of luxury, adding that he is “happy” to do it as he “doesn’t have much to do in the days” – though he has been left with a sore back.

Christ-like

Finally, Marin took a moment to respond to his critics, including Mr Clements’ two brothers whom he barred from the cremation ceremony and who have labelled him a “gold digger”.

He said: “Jesus Christ was killed by people who didn’t like him and in the same way I have nothing to say to these people.

“People will always talk and have their opinions which is fine, but they don’t make me feel bad or guilty.

“They can say whatever they want. I have a beautiful life and a beautiful boyfriend and so these people don’t disturb me – they can say whatever they want.”
