Brecel headed home to Belgium after his victory on Wednesday and is set to enjoy a luxurious journey back to the UK this afternoon.
He wrote on Instagram yesterday: “I’ve got a private jet booked to Sheffield tomorrow at 15:00, anyone from Belgium wants to join? DM me.”
Brecel pocketed £500,000 when he beat Mark Selby in the final two years ago, but he is not bothered about getting his hands on the trophy or the whopping cheque again.
The 30-year-old maverick is more focused on impressing fans with a bold style of play and having a smile on his face.
Brecel explained to Midnite: “I just don’t really think a lot about winning tournaments and stuff like that. I just like playing the game.
“I’m more of a Ronaldinho type of player in snooker, so it’s all about just entertaining and fun and also having a nice life around it, that’s more important to me.
“I’ve not really thought about the possibility of winning a second world title.
“I’m not that interested in it. If it happens it happens, but if it doesn’t, then it’s all good.”
Brecel certainly makes sure he enjoys life away from the table, splashing much of his winnings on five-star holidays and supercars.
The man nicknamed the Belgian Bullet visited 14 countries in the four months after his Crucible glory.
He regularly shares snaps of trips on social media with visits to China, the United States, Dubai, Macau and Canada on show.
Brecel also purchased a Ferrari, Range Rover and Porsche as he joked he went quickly from a “millionaire to a non-millionaire”.
