A ROOKIE cop accused of having an illicit relationship with a drug kingpin is trying to get the court case against her thrown out.
PC Caitlin Howarth was investigated by West Yorkshire Police over her alleged links to the jailed heroin dealer.

She has been charged with misconduct in a public office in relation to the alleged relationship.
Howarth’s defence team are now working on an application to dismiss the charge.
Recorder of York, His Honour Judge Sean Morris, set a trial date for February 10 next year.
A hearing has been scheduled for September 23 for Howarth’s team to appeal to dismiss the misconduct case.
Judge Morris said: “You have been advised about credit for plea and you understand that once the evidence is to hand, should this case not be dismissed, a guilty plea attracts a lesser sentence – you know that.
“Should this case not be dismissed, you have to provide a detailed defence case statement, explaining your behaviour and explaining why you say the CPS have got this wrong.
“You’ve got to come for your trial, if you don’t you’ll be tried in your absence and that will no doubt lead the jury to infer you are guilty.”
Howarth was granted unconditional bail ahead of the two-hour hearing later this year.
The force said previously: “A West Yorkshire Police student officer has been charged with misconduct in a public office.
“The charge relates to a relationship with a notifiable association with criminal connections.
“She is currently suspended from duty.”
Howarth also reportedly had an affair with married Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood – 17 years her senior.
The Bradford District Commander, who has worked with West Yorkshire Police for 20 years, has been suspended on full pay following the claims.
