RUBY WALSH was left in awe of this racehorse after he saved a trapped jockey from serious injury in a terrifying stalls incident.

Cian MacRedmond was stranded upside-down after his mount Dream Today got unsettled ahead of the 5f sprint at the Curragh in Ireland.

Iconic jockey Walsh couldn’t believe what he was seeing in the incident at the CurraghPA

But when the stalls opened and the other horses charged out, the eight-year-old gelding remained perfectly still.

For a few awful seconds apprentice MacRedmond was left totally helpless – as the threat of a 500kg horse charging over him remained.

But he was fortunately able to get himself the right way up and out of the stalls before the horse moved again.

Legendary jockey Walsh – who knows a thing or two about being unseated – was among those floored by the horse’s awareness.
