RUBY WALSH has taken aim at Constitution Hill and warned: “Something will chin you.”

The legendary jockey reckons the best jumps horse in the world is vulnerable.

And he told Betfair that his most recent race – victory in the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle – was his worst yet.

Trainer Nicky Henderson confirmed the Michael Buckley-owned superstar will remain over hurdles this season.

That disappointed some fans who wanted to see the six-year-old take on a new challenge after wiping the floor with all his rivals.

But Walsh suggested something could come through this year to take the unbeaten Constituion Hill’s crown off him anyway.

He is already as short as 4-11 to defend his Champion Hurdle title next season.

But Walsh is close to the Willie Mullins’ yard and there are whispers they really fancy Ballymore king Impaire Et Passe to serve it up to Constitution Hill this season.

Walsh said the latter’s last run proves he is there for the taking more than ever.

Asked if he thought Constitution Hill was unbeatable, he said: “I would have said yes until I watched him at Aintree.

“I thought he looked fallible at Aintree. I though it was a good step down from his Champion Hurdle Run.

“And it was way below his Fighting Fifth run, below his Christmas Hurdle run.

“Maybe it was because it was two-and-a-half miles and that’s the reason he hasn’t gone chasing.

“It was the first time I looked at him and thought, something will chin you some day – you’re not unbeatable.

“If he turns up in that form against a State Man, an Impaire Et Passe, even against a Honeysuckle in her prime – something will chin him.”
