FIFA are looking to lift their ban on Russia and allow them to play international football again.

The decision is being discussed at a council meeting taking place today.

However, it will not lead to a full return for Russia as just their Under-17 team’s appearances are being discussed.

They could reportedly be allowed to play without their kit, flag or anthem.

There has been a blanket ban on the country and teams from the nation competing on the international stage since they invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
