A FIGHT between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul has been confirmed by Saudi boxing chiefs.

Fans are predicting “the biggest fight of our lives” after SunSport exclusively revealed that former heavyweight champ Joshua and YouTuber-turned-brawler Paul are in talks to step into the ring.

Joshua, 35, has not fought since losing to Daniel Dubois in September last year.

As for Paul, 28, he is fresh off a win against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last month.

A fight between the two would certainly be a money-spinner, with AJ still one of the top names around and Paul proving he can attract huge audiences.

And Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh has now lifted the lid on talks by revealing that Paul had accepted his proposal to fight Joshua.

But the fight guru admitted that he would personally benefit from an AJ win on the night.

He said: “I’m not against what Jake Paul’s doing in boxing, it’s good for boxing to have a young generation.

“I’m against some kinds of fights he does. I’m now thinking him against Joshua. Joshua, if he destroys (Paul), it will be good for me.

“The headache of Jake Paul goes from my mind. If Jake Paul wins, I will know that Joshua is finished and Jake Paul deserves to be ring king and deserves to have a future in boxing.

“I don’t want 50-50. In this situation I want 99-1. Jake Paul’s accepted. Now next week I will talk with Joshua about it.”

Fans were quick to react to the sensational declaration on social media.

One said: “We are in for the biggest fight of our lives.”

Another declared: “Picture what AJ did to Ngannou but 10 times worse.”

One noted: “That’s not a fight, that’s a live demonstration of gravity.”

Another added: “What a fight that would be.”

It now remains to be seen if AJ, who has won 28 of his 32 bouts, accepts a fight with Paul.

He was left bruised after losing to Dubois, with his rival and now-IBF heavyweight champion taking on Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch on Saturday.

It wouldn’t be the first time Joshua has fought someone seen as from outside the boxing world, with the star defeating UFC legend Francis Ngannou in March last year.

As for Paul, he boasts a record 12 wins from 13 fights.

But unlike Joshua, almost all his bouts have come against fighters who either don’t have a boxing background or are well past their prime.

He’s beaten the likes of Mike Tyson, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva.

And Paul’s sole defeat came at the hands of the only real boxer he has faces so far — Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy.
