A SHADOW Minister became the latest Labour figure to embarrass Sir Keir Starmer by posing with the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign.

The group tweeted: “Thank you to all those MPs who came to speak to us including Afzal.”
The move follows Sir Keir being called on to suspend the whip Labour MP Apsana Begum from the Parliamentary party after she also posed with the group.
The campaign group had organised a protest outside the Israeli embassy just hours after Hamas launched a barbaric attack killing hundreds of civilians.
Tory party chair Greg Hands said: “Yesterday it was a backbencher, now it’s a Shadow Minister.

“When will Sir Keir take action against those in the Labour Party who fail to unequivocally condemn the terror attack on Israel?
“And those who use the offensive ‘apartheid’ term in relation to Israel?”
Meanwhile, senior Labour figures were embroiled in a major row last night after a shadow Minister said UK aid to Palestine should be INCREASED.
Wayne David wants the Foreign Office to send more funding despite the barbaric attacks in Israel.
The frontbencher said: “I would like to see the British Government not reducing its international aid, but in this unprecedented situation actually increasing our support of the people of Palestine.”
He added that there should be a clear distinction with “the people of Palestine should not be equated with Hamas”.
But shadow International Aid Minister Lisa Nandy last night said the UK should review the aid following the deadly attacks.
She told a fringe event: “We’ll always support the Palestinian people. We know that the situation for many Palestinians is one of utter despair and hopelessness about the stalled prospects of peace and security and prospects for their children.

“But in light of current events, it’s right that the UK considers how British money is being spent and whether that British money is being used appropriately or whether it’s being used to support acts of terrorism.”
She said she would raise the matter with Ministers.
